Lineage Advisor for Microsoft Purview
Lineage Advisor for Microsoft Purview is an ISV-hosted SaaS connector that exports governed lineage from Databricks Unity Catalog into a customer's Microsoft Purview Data Map.
What It Does
Lineage Advisor helps governance, compliance, analytics engineering, and platform teams answer:
- Which Databricks jobs, notebooks, tables, and pipelines influence a governed asset?
- What changed before a Databricks job, notebook, pipeline, table, or governed collection was modified?
- Can teams validate lineage directly in the customer's Microsoft Purview portal?
Lineage Advisor does not replace Microsoft Purview. It preserves Purview as the customer's governance system of record and publishes enriched lineage evidence into the customer's own Purview environment.
