Known Limitations

Microsoft Marketplace​

  • Private preview or evaluation plans may only be available to approved customer accounts.
  • Preview purchases can still create real billing events depending on configuration.
  • Marketplace subscription activation requires working landing page and fulfillment API integration.
  • Marketplace entitlement, billing, cancellation, and invoicing behavior may depend on Microsoft Marketplace systems and the customer's purchasing channel.

Microsoft Purview​

  • Purview portal connector tile placement is not guaranteed by Marketplace publication.
  • Microsoft program review may be required for Security Store or in-portal partner discovery.
  • Custom type definitions and relationship models should be tested in a pilot collection before production rollout.
  • Existing Purview assets, type definitions, collection permissions, and qualified-name conventions may affect how lineage appears after publication.

Databricks​

  • Metadata and lineage depth depends on Unity Catalog configuration and available APIs.
  • Historical lineage may be limited by source retention and workspace settings.
  • Personal access tokens are not recommended for production.
  • Asset names, comments, tags, owners, and other metadata are customer-controlled and may contain sensitive information if customers place it there.

Security And Compliance​

  • This documentation does not claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP, GDPR certification, or other formal certification unless separately stated in an executed agreement or official attestation.
  • Customers are responsible for validating that connector configuration, connected systems, credentials, and metadata scopes meet their internal security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • The connector is designed for metadata and lineage workflows and does not require source table row values for lineage publication.
  • Support materials should be sanitized before sharing and should not include passwords, client secrets, personal access tokens, private keys, or unredacted bearer tokens.
