Onboarding Flow
Guided Setup
After Marketplace redirects you to Lineage Advisor, the setup flow collects only the information needed to provision your tenant and validate the connector.
Setup Stages
| Stage | What Happens | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace resolution | Lineage Advisor resolves the purchase token. | Subscription is mapped to a tenant. |
| Entra sign-in | Customer admin signs in. | User identity and tenant are confirmed. |
| Purview connection | Customer selects the target Purview account and collection. | Data Map write path is validated. |
| Databricks connection | Customer enters the Databricks workspace/account details. | Unity Catalog metadata access is validated. |
| First sync | Lineage Advisor publishes the first scoped Databricks lineage dataset. | Assets and relationships appear in Purview. |
Completion Criteria
Onboarding is complete when:
- Subscription status is active.
- Required connections show healthy.
- The first sync finishes without blocking errors.
- A generated collection or scoped asset set is visible in Microsoft Purview.
